We are now seeking an exceptional Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team based within our Bucharest Office.
- Oversees and coordinates construction projects from their conception to their completion
- Reviews the project in-depth in order to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Ensures that the project complies with the contractual documents, Quality Management and Occupational Health and Safety norms.
- Manages the site in order to deliver according to the requirements of the project, on a daily basis
- Prepares the site, as well as the fire plans, the team briefing, the risk assessments, etc.
- Oversees all on-site and off-site constructions in order to be consistent with the Occupational Health and Safety norms
- Coordinates the teams of workers and contractors
- Selects the tools, materials and equipment and tracks the inventory
- Ensures that the standards and performance requirements established by contract are met
- Monitors the daily evolution of the site
- Keeps in touch and consults closely with a Quantity Surveyor on all aspects relating to: cost, objective, risk, deviations, and more. Records and reports all deviations
- Completes the administrative tasks set out in the contract, including the site’s daily job specifications. Prepares reports for each project
- Plans ahead in order to prevent problems and resolves any emerging ones
- Analyzes, manages and mitigates risks
- Ensures that quality standards are met and that correct construction techniques are used
